The real Yes Movement

The real Yes Movement

Earlier today, Nintendo streamed a new trailer for their upcoming fighter, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. In the video, which you can watch below, three new characters were revealed, including the return of fan favourite (and my personal best) Captain Falcon. Altogether now: YES! YES! YES!

I was beginning to think he’d never turn up. Way to keep me on edge, Ninty. I can’t wait to Falcon Punch people in the neck. And then play the game.

New character(s) Robin. Not Batman's little friend.

Joining him will be Fire Emblem: Awakening default protagonist Robin, who comes in both male and female flavours. They can use magic tomes for a variety of elemental attacks, plus they weild a sword for close range falafalising. Finally, Lucina will make her Smash Bros. debut, wielding moves similar to Marth. Chrom, who appears in the trailer, looks like a Final Smash or Trophy character, which is unfortunate, as I was hoping they’d replace Marth with him as a fully playable warrior. Blasphemy, you say?! Oh well, to each his own.

Look out for more Smash Bros. news as it happens. The 3DS version is set for release on October 3rd, with the Wii U version out sometime in Winter.
